After some delays with buying our new house... we have finally moved to Birmingham to start a Victory Outreach church in a city with so much need.
Welcome to our first blog post! We have now been in Birmingham for a couple of months and already it feels like home! Well for me it always has been as I am a born and bred a Brummie, but it is amazing how well we have all settled in.
There is never a more crucial time than now for Victory Outreach to plant a church in Birmingham. Knife crime is at alarming levels and young people are caught up in gangs and drugs.
God's heart is breaking over the state of our nation and our cities. Our young people are lost, broken and dying. Victory Outreach is called to reach the lost and hurting people of the inner cities of the world. Drugs and homelessness are rising and knife crime is at alarming levels and young people are caught up in drugs and gangs and are losing their lives.
As the Government tries to figure out where it has all gone wrong and how to fix it, we know that there is only way... JESUS. We are not fighting flesh and blood but principalities and powers and the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). Our nation, our cities and our communities can only be fixed through prayer.
So we would like to invite you to come and join on Wednesday evenings at The Citadel, Corporation Street from 6.30pm to prayer, connect and journey with us. Let's BE the people to see change in our city.
